Happy Canada Day!

If I were in Canada right now I would have finished a lovely pancake breakfast and would now be participating in the Raymond parade. Which would be followed up with a lunch in Grandma's backyard consisting of ham, "scalped" potatoes, rolls, and homemade Rootbeer! Here's to toonies, Big Turks, and Coyote pancake mix, eh! O Canada!

We were so lucky to have "Junie B. Jones" visit our Borders store in Redmond. Kailey was pretty excited to see her and have her sign her books. So, I got together with a couple other moms and off we went!We even got to see the "stinky, smelly bus"
Then Kelley Nay and I decided to go for ice cream with our kids...can we say CRAZY!

Happy Father's Day Shawn!

I just wanted to take a moment to feature Shawn on this blog. I mostly focus on the kids because let's face it, with four of them, they occupy most of our lives! But Shawn is a great dad to them and he deserves to be recognized. So, thank you honey for all your love, help and support to the kids and me!!! We love you!

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh my!

Jada made her first debut on stage as a munchkin in the "Wizard of Oz" play put on by her preschool. She was a little nervous but was able to come out on stage this year, much to the delight of her fans. Last year she was a lost boy in the "Peter Pan" play but was unable to overcome her stage fright, which resulted in a solid performance of not budging from the side of the stage. We are so proud of her and the progress she has made! She really enjoyed herself and knew all the songs and the actions...she even practiced her munchkin giggle (which was so cute)! Jada was so excited to wear lipstick and eye shadow!!! Good job Jada!!!

The kids had a day off from school so I decided it was the perfect day to go to the zoo. Friday morning at 1 a.m. Brayden threw up and was screaming that his ear hurt. So, as soon as the office opened I dragged him to the doctor determined not to let an ear infection ruin my plans. We were in and out fairly quickly and on the way to the zoo I stopped to pick up the antibiotics. We arrived later than I had planned but we made it and that is more than half the battle!

Funny story: the peacock kinda charged at Brayden when he got too close so I made the kids stay back. The next day I heard about a peacock charging and hurting a child at the zoo...I might have a picture of the culprit!

Shawn's Birthday at the beach

So, it was Shawn's birthday on May 18th and all he wanted to do was go to the beach since is was going to be 95 degrees. We had a great time playing and roasting hotdogs and s'mores, but I didn't get any pictures of the birthday boy...sorry Shawn!
