Farewell

Before Talmage left on his mission he was able to give a "farewell" in his ward and before Nelson and Mckay left to catch their planes we were able to get a few family photos in!

Tubing

While we were at Silver Star, we decided to do a little tubing in the evening! It was a cool set-up where you jumped in your tube, a guy hooked you up to a rope pull, you were pulled up the mountain and then it dropped you off at the top. Then they had people at the top that would help group you or spin you or push you to make it even more exciting as you cruised down the mountain! That is the way to tube!!!!!

At the bottom, they had straw to slow you down. Three words of caution....close your mouth!

SILVER STAR

Wow! We just got back from an amazing trip to beautiful British Columbia for some good family bonding before my youngest brother takes off for two years to Belgium on a mission. Kailey and Jada learned so quickly that after a couple of lessons they were going down green and blue runs!
But by Wednesday, Brayden had decided that he like sledding better ;> There is always next year!

We stayed in the house just above Jada's right shoulder, which was a fantastic location. Thank you dad!!!!

And we ended the day in the hot tub...tough, I know!

Babysitting

I came home to find Shawn taking care of the boys...Brayden LOVES playing the wiiAnd Ethan was busy as well....I originally bought this for a quick storage for toys laying on the floor, but it obviously has other purposes as well. Who knew?

Sock Hop

Our ward put on a sock hop and the kids were so excited to go. What is there not to love about hula hoops, gum balls, rootbeer floats, and poodle skirts! Though, I didn't have any poodle skirts so we did jeans.

Jada was not too pleased that I made her dance with Brayden...
She was much happier dancing with Lizzie!
Kailey invited her friend from down the street, Courtney. They are so cute together!

2009 started off with a bang!

BTW, Happy Birthday Talmage! He was born at 12:15 Jan 1st so he celebrates his birthday every year with fireworks!

Merry Christmas!

"I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas"It started snowing on the 18th and just kept on snowing. The funny thing was that the storm was scheduled to come in on the 17th and so everyone cancelled school in anticipation and it didn't come, it was bone dry. The next morning it came though, and in total we had over a foot and a half of snow, which isn't tons according to Michigan standards but it shut down Seattle!

"The stockings were hung by chimney with care"

I just finished making Ethan's stocking on Christmas Eve. Everyone said that he wouldn't mind if I didn't finish it but I wanted to have it done...and when I set my mind to something it is hard to talk me out of it!

"With hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there..." Poor Jada had a temperature of 104 degrees and as soon as she was done opening most of her presents, she wanted to be back in bed. "He's a mean one, Mr. Grinch" (check out the t-shirt)
And his trusty dog, Max Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
