Oooooo Halloween

Without further adieu, let me introduce our Halloween visitors of 2009!We have the mysterious ninjaBy day, we have a woodland fairyand by night, she is known as the little mermaidthe heroic cowboy rode in on his trusty steedand nobody could miss our cuddly Dalmatian!and we were joined for the evening by the bat clan (AKA the Hatches)

Seattle Seafair Pirates

Brayden was invited to a birthday party with the Seafair Pirates...this was a serious pirate party! I felt like I was on the set of Pirates of the Caribbean! When they got there, they went out and mingled with the kids for a little while, well, they mostly talked to the adults shile the kids hung on our legs :>These guys really got into their parts! Then the kids got on the "boat" for a ride. This is Brayden trying to look brave, but if you notice, his hands were never far from his ears.They were more like this the whole time because they kept on shooting off the canons, and those, mateys, were some big booms!

Argghhh, 'tis the life of a pirate!

Pumpkin Patch

What would fall be without the annual trip to the pumpkin patch! So, we bundled up for Brayden's preschool fieldtrip and headed to the farm.Brayden with teacher Suzie. Suzie used to be my next door neighbor growing up and babysat me many times. What an amazing circle my life has had!the hay mazeSuccess! The perfect pumpkin!

Now, we can go home, take a warm bath, put on our pj's and drink hot chocolate! I don't care if it's only 2 pm...I'm freezing!

However, nothing compares to the preschool pumpkin patch outing of '06 in Michigan yes, that is snow, and that is a little boy in the background crying because it is so dang cold!

Uncle Nelson and mom had come out to help us get the house ready to sell, since our decision to move to Seattle happened so quickly. I miss a lot of things about Michigan, but the cold is not one!!!!!

18 months!

My little baby is 18 months!

If you look closely, you can see the gash on his forehead where he crashed into the side of our bathtub, a traumatic event for all involved! He wants to do all the things the big kids do and nothing is going to stop him! Shawn and I just keep hoping he doesn't do anything worse. He is such a sweet boy who loves to give kisses and play with his cars. He doesn't say much but that doesn't mean that we don't understand him, he is very persuasive! :>

Brayden's new preschool

Brayden started at a new preschool this year, Red Gate Preschool. This school is so cool! It has a huge garden that they dig in, plant, and harvest. They have horses, a pig, sheep, goats, bunnies, chickens, hamsters, and guinea pigs that they feed and take care of. I went to go pick him up on the fifth day of school and he said, "Mom, can I live at my school?" I love it!
