Congratulations Talmage!

We joined him via Skype as he opened his call to the Belgium, Brussels/ Netherlands mission speaking Dutch! He reports on March 11th to the MTC in Provo. This is especially exciting for the DeMeesters because that is where my paternal Grandfather immigrated from.

Can we say family history work???? On Tuesday, Nov 25th we had the privilege of joining him at the temple.

My baby brother is growing up! I'm so pleased with the hard work and dedication that he has had to get him to the point he is at now! Way to go Tad!

Blindfolded Bandits

So we have had three visitors every day for lunch recently. The weather has been fairly nice so we have been eating outside and the kids always seem to leave a mess, which I don't mind leaving outside. But these three have figured out that that means free food and they have been getting braver. Today we had to run inside to get away from them because they kept on hissing at us while coming closer.My question is, aren't they supposed to be nocturnal?Or maybe they are just night owls who like to stay up late...which becomes our daytime...I know, deep thoughts by Jacqueline Mohamed.

I meant to post this around Halloween but I forgot. Oh well, it's worth a laugh!

Fallin for Fall

On our way home from picking Kailey up from the bus stop, we found this pile of leaves that had accumulated overnight and was just calling for someone to play in them. And my kids, being the obedient kids that they are, joyfully obliged. Ethan wasn't too sure what all the fun was about!

These are the moments when I love being home with my kids!

Trick or Treat

It's a first! It didn't rain on Halloween eve! It poured all morning and I was so worried that it was going to be a miserable night for the kids but it stopped in the afternoon and it was quite a pleasant evening. And now, without further adieu, I present the costumes!

What do you get when you put a bride, a witch and a wizard together?...candy!After trick-or-treating in our neighborhood, we headed over to my old stomping ground and did some trick-or-treating with Grandma and Grandpa DD in Heritage Hills
then we did some bobbing... Ethan did some chillin...Beauty and the beast? (Sorry Grandma!)

It's funny, I was tagged by two people with the same tag, so here you go Kath and Jenn... 1. I am facinated by people of different nationalities/races. Consequently, I only dated one white guy, the rest were from all over the world.

2. Which leads me to number two, I love to travel. Well that is not true. The actual traveling part I'm not good at, but once I'm there, I love it. I love seeing new sights, hearing new language and seeing how different people adapt to their specific circumstances.

3. I only hate three foods (there are some that I don't like but I'll tolerate) but I hate asparugus, brussell spouts and perogies. The asparugus and brussell sprouts I've hated since I was young but the perogies were added when I was pregnant with Kailey.

4. I have a strong desire to help people. I graduated in Psychology with a desire to help people emotionally, through counseling. Then I became an EMT with the desire to help people who were in trouble physically. However, right now, I'm in the phase of helping my kids emotionally and physically...and even though it can be exhausting, I'm so grateful that I have the chance to totally screw them up before I'm unleashed on the public sector;>

5. I love thunderstorms. I think they are so electrifying (for lack of a better word). I miss the Michigan thunderstorms!

6. I'm a serious procrastinator. Though having 4 kids has made me improve quite a bit, but why do it today when it can be done tomorrow?

7. I love to vacuum. I find it very relaxing and it drones out the children's noise, when (lets face it) it gets a little annoying.
